Permission to Be YOU: Personal Insignificance to Workplace Magnificence
by Jivi Saran
About the Book
Imagine what it would be like to have permission to show up at work as completely yourself—not someone pretending that life is perfect or someone wasting time being apologetic for experiencing life’s ups and downs. In Permission to Be YOU: Personal Insignificance to Workplace Magnificence , Jivi Saran describes finding herself at the peak of her career and the worst of her health. She found herself asking, “Is this all there is to life?” In this very personal story, Jivi invites you into her experience of recovery as she shares her raw, vulnerable self, breaking cultural and societal norms to become her authentic self. This is a story that will truly inspire you to be who you are meant to be with no resentment, guilt, shame, or anger. In reading this book, you will experience a self-discovery process that introduces you to YOU.
About the Author
Jivi Saran knows from experience that mindfulness in the workplace results in powerful relationships, productivity, creativity, and focus. Many teams resist this methodology so Jivi uses her keen Corporate Mentalist skills, observing behavior and thought patterns in team participants to shift their openness in giving themselves and their team members permission to show up at work wholly and completely. As a leader of a six-year experiment testing the concept, Jivi observed firsthand the power of this practice and has the data to prove it. Jivi now travels the world helping teams become more powerful, creative, and focused producing low-to-no turnover rates, incomparable efficiency, and healthy team members in all areas of their lives.
Praise for Jivi Saran
“Attending Jivi’s mindfulness sessions was a gift on so many levels, from, Jivi sharing her time, thoughts, creative coaching and mentoring. She led us in and around mind sets and produced ideas and questions that gave us answers but had us asking for more! Jivi introduced us to self-care of our mind and spirit, which is the gift we give ourselves. After a couple of these sessions external impact was realized in better understanding of not only my own lenses but to the perspective my clients may have in a situation. I feel more confident approaching and dealing with my clients. An hour with Jivi is simply not enough when she ‘tunes in’ and turns it on. Her gentle inquiries, use of humour and respect make you realize you are in a truly safe place in these sessions. Thank You, Jivi! “

“I found Jivi’s “Mindfulness” workshops to be consistently inspiring and rewarding. Her tactile and relevant strategies from handling unique and complex situations and people work and are both relevant and meaningful for any organization looking to promote a positive and productive culture. I’ve incorporated many of the strategies, tools and tips Jivi has imparted at these wonderful workshops and I, alongside many of my colleagues, have found then to be incredibly valuable and impactful to support us in our daily work (coaching, change management).”
